When Dennis O’Neill was a kid growing up in the Outer Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco, his world largely consisted of several blocks to either side of his home. In one direction was his school, Saint Cecilia’s, and in the other was Carl Larsen Park, which had all the usual fun and games plus something a little extra special — a real Navy jet.
