The San Francisco Police Department has suspended an officer who is under investigation for insubordination related to using a disabled parking placard on his car despite being fully able to perform his duties.
Officer Marc Plummer is one of five officers who got into hot water in 2024 after it was discovered they had received and were using disabled parking placards via their “disabled veteran” status. Some initially refused to give up their placards or provide proof of their disabilities even after being ordered to do so by then-Chief Bill Scott.
