Stonestown Galleria mall reopens after threat reports forced evacuation

Customers and workers were temporarily evacuated from the Stonestown Galleria on Wednesday while police responded to a call about a person making threats.

Lowell High School and Commodore Sloat Elementary School near the mall were briefly on lockdown, according to messages received by parents from the San Francisco Unified School District.

The San Francisco Police Department said officers were summoned to the mall at 11:40 a.m. “regarding a person making threats.” The mall was evacuated while officers worked with the property manager “to help ascertain the threat.”…
