Oracle’s mass layoffs hit 158 Bay Area workers

Oracle’s mass layoff this week will affect 158 workers in Pleasanton, according to state filings.

The tech giant said that 76 software developers, 30 application developers and 11 product management staff were among the layoffs at 5815 Owens Drive. The facility will remain open.

The total extent of Oracle’s layoffs hasn’t been confirmed, but the software company also laid off 491 workers in Seattle, according to separate notice with Washington state officials.
