San Francisco Police Arrest Man for Attempted Residential Rape and Burglary

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Officers from the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) responded to a residence on the 2100 block of Larkin Street on February 15, 2026, following reports of a person calling for assistance. Upon arrival at approximately 4:14 p.m., officers located an adult female at the scene.

According to the preliminary investigation, an unidentified male followed the woman to her home. As she attempted to close her door, the subject forced entry into the residence and attempted a sexual assault. Following a physical struggle, the woman escaped the building to seek help. The SFPD Special Victims Unit (SVU) subsequently assumed control of the investigation.

To identify the suspect, the department circulated a photograph via an internal email to all officers. On February 16, 2026, personnel from the Drug Market Agency Coordination Center (DMACC) Enforcement Team located the individual at a residence on the 900 block of Geary Street.
