eBay San Francisco office to be shut down, employees reportedly being relocated

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — eBay will be shutting down its San Francisco office this fall, impacting the nearly 200 employees who work there, according to a state filing. A Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filed with the Employment Development Department indicates eBay Inc. will be closing its office at 300 Mission Street on Sept. 30.

The WARN notice indicates that 198 employees at the location are set to lose their jobs. However, according to reports in the San Francisco Business Journal and the San Francisco Chronicle, the workers won’t be laid off.
