(KRON) — The Fremont Police Department said it worked with Hayward police to nab two men wanted in connection with a homicide in February, which marked the city’s second homicide of the year.
FPD said officers responded just before 4:20 p.m. on Feb. 3 to several 911 calls of a shooting near Central Avenue and Joseph Street. Police located a victim on the ground and provided trauma care, but the person later died from their injuries.
Fremont PD took over the investigation and identified two people of interest as 19-year-old Kaleb Soto and 42-year-old Ricardo Duran. Soto and Duran were located on April 4 after Hayward police detained two alleged trespassers in a separate case.
