SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A suspected gym locker thief with a long-history of striking at multiple Bay Area fitness studios has been arrested again following a months-long investigation, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

SFPD said Andrania Yancy, 40, burglarized lockers at a string of different gyms in San Francisco between November of last year through this March.
Yancy was located in Sacramento on Monday, where she was taken into custody, thanks to a contingent of multiple law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force.
“Through the course of their investigation, the Financial Crimes Unit learned that the suspect had the same modus operandi (M.O.) in several cases,” said SFPD. “She would visit gyms and fitness studios and obtain a day pass under a false name to burglarize lockers, stealing credit cards to use prior to the victims knowing their property was stolen.”
