Cooler start to week before warming trend

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Cool Bay Area temperatures will continue through Tuesday. Late Monday into early Tuesday, there is a slight chance of coastal drizzle or light rain. By the middle to latter part of the week, warmer and drier conditions will return.

Mostly clear skies were in place Sunday morning, with some low clouds along parts of the Peninsula.

A broad area of low pressure over the West Coast is keeping temperatures cooler than average. Sunday’s inland high temperatures will be in the 70s to low 80s, with a few warmer spots reaching the mid to upper 80s in eastern Contra Costa County.
