IDENTIFIED: Man killed after medical emergency causes crash on I-5

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man who was killed after suffering a medical emergency and crashing off the I-5 on Thursday afternoon was named on Monday by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner’s office named the victim as 68-year-old Mahmood Sherzai of Fremont.

According to officers, Sherzai was driving on the interstate, just east of Coalinga, when he lost control, went across the northbound lanes, and left the roadway…
