(KRON) — Fire crews battled a three-alarm commercial building fire in downtown San Jose Tuesday morning. The blaze fully engulfed an auto repair business before flames were knocked down by 6:53 a.m., according to officials.
The San Jose Fire Department responded at 5:33 a.m. to the large fire at Baja Tires at 35 East Williams Street. By 6 a.m., firefighters were conducting defensive operations with aerial ladders hosing water down onto the burning structure.
