EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Workers at four Philz Coffee locations in California announced Tuesday they have filed to join a union.
The employees in San Francisco, Glendale, Torrance and Cupertino and delivered a notice informing management that they unionized.
The organizing effort in the four locations is building on the movement started by Philz Coffee workers in Berkeley, who formed Philz Coffee United with UFCW Local 5 and are currently negotiating their first union contract, according to a Tuesday news release…
