Passenger with measles traveled through several CA counties

(KRON) — California health officials are urging residents to make sure they are fully vaccinated against measles after an unvaccinated passenger with measles traveled through multiple California counties, including Alameda County, on Amtrak trains and thruway buses.

The California Department of Public Health said the passenger was hospitalized after traveling across the United States, including through California. The traveler arrived in California by Amtrak train in Los Angeles on Sept. 10.
