SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – Plans are in the works to cut down a 120-foot redwood tree in Santa Cruz. The city council approved the action this week but not without some push back from the community. The city claims the tree, on the corner of Lincoln and Walnut Avenue, is causing damage to both public and private property.
