Attentive victim leads CHP to suspect who flashed gun during road rage beef on California Highway

A potentially dangerous road rage incident on State Route 84 in Alameda County was promptly addressed by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) yesterday evening, thanks to the vigilant reporting of a concerned motorist.

The incident unfolded when CHP dispatchers received a 911 call from a male driver reporting that another motorist had menacingly pointed a gun at him while both were navigating State Route 84. Officer Sidhu, responding swiftly to the call, reached the location and engaged with the victim who provided essential details regarding the suspect, the suspect vehicle, and the firearm involved.

Officer Sidhu’s thorough investigation led to the identification and subsequent contact with the suspect. Notably, the firearm allegedly used in the incident was successfully located and secured as evidence. The suspect was subsequently arrested on charges of 417 PC (Brandishing a deadly weapon).
