( KRON ) — A juvenile was arrested on Wednesday after they threatened to commit an act of violence on school grounds, the Fremont Police Department announced.
The suspect is a Fremont Unified School District student, police said. Police believed they had access to a firearm, and a search discovered a replica gun with an extended magazine, FPD said.

Fremont police and school resource officers worked “to ensure the safety of the students at various campuses,” police said. The suspect was arrested before school hours away from a FUSD campus.
The threat is being reviewed by a juvenile district attorney.
There was additional police presence at several South Bay schools last week due to a separate threat.
