Two men arrested on gun charges after allegedly trespassing in Fremont

( KRON ) – The Fremont Police Department arrested two men for gun charges after allegedly trespassing.

Fremont officers were dispatched to the area of Boar Circle for a suspicious activity report at 9 p.m. on Friday. The suspicious activity included people seen drinking alcohol near a vehicle in the area.

According to police, officers located the vehicle illegally parked in front of the “No Trespassing” sign. The officers contacted the two men in the vehicle. Officers searched the car and said they found several ounces of marijuana that was packaged for sale and a loaded handgun without a serial number with an extended magazine.

The vehicle’s occupants were Fremont residents: 18-year-old Jefferson Sanchez and 19-year-old Alfredo Montoya Perez.

Sanchez was arrested for alleged possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle, possession of a concealed firearm on a person, carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle in a public place, and buying or receiving large-capacity magazines.
