4 teenagers arrested for allegedly robbing USPS postal worker

( KRON ) – Four teenagers were arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle and robbing multiple USPS postal workers, according to the Fremont Police Department.

Fremont police officers were dispatched to Third Street for a report of a robbery of a USPS postal worker at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 7. According to police, four suspects stole the mail truck keys before fleeing in a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Police said a similar incident occurred the day before in the area of Martha Avenue, where two suspects demanded the mail key from the USPS postal person. The two suspects fled in a Jeep Grand Cherokee before getting the key.

The victims were not injured during either incident.

On the day of the second robbery, the Fremont Crime Reduction Unit located the jeep driving in the area of Mowry Avenue and Fremont Boulevard. Once Fremont police officers were at the scene, a traffic stop was initiated. According to police, a vehicle pursuit lasted two miles before the suspect vehicle came to a halt.
