( KRON ) – An armed man who was wearing a bulletproof vest was arrested on Thursday, according to the Menlo Park Police Department.
A Menlo Park community member alerted the police of a man who possibly was armed with an assault rifle parked in the area of O’Brien Drive and Kavanaugh Drive. According to police, the suspect was wearing a bulletproof vest and armed with an assault rifle. Police detained the suspect.
San Mateo family of four identified in murder-suicide
The suspect was identified as 34-year-old San Mateo resident Steven Dos Santos. Dos Santos was booked into San Mateo County jail for the charges of unlawful possession or transport of a machine gun and carrying a loaded firearm.
