In a commendable display of vigilance and dedication, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Santa Cruz office successfully recovered a stolen moving truck on Thursday afternoon.
The incident unfolded when a new officer, currently undergoing the first phase of field training, spotted the stolen vehicle parked in a lot near River St. at Highway 1.
The CHP officers swiftly moved into action, approaching the occupants of the stolen moving truck and confirming their unlawful possession. The suspects were promptly taken into custody without incident, the CHP said.
The recovery operation was made possible by the hard work and thorough investigation conducted by the new officer, highlighting the effectiveness of the training program. The stolen vehicle, a moving truck, was returned intact to its rightful owner.
