Car flies off California highway, slams into parked RV igniting it; At least one killed overnight

A fatal incident occurred on State Route 237 (SR237) near the Lawrence Expressway off-ramp in Sunnyvale early Sunday morning, resulting in the loss of life and significant property damage.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) received distressing reports around midnight, indicating a dark gray vehicle had come off the freeway and collided with a recreational vehicle (RV), subsequently catching fire. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with a hysterical reporting party and the involved vehicles in flames.

Emergency services, including medics and firefighters, swiftly responded to the distress call. Firefighters worked diligently to control the vehicular fire, leading to the discovery of a possible fatality inside the gray vehicle. The exact details of the tragic event are still under investigation.
