( KRON ) — Tuesday’s heat wave was felt across the Bay Area, and Wednesday is expected to be even hotter. Multiple Bay Area cities set temperature records for the July 2 date, the National Weather Service announced.
Five Bay Area cities either set or broke temperature records that have stood for at least 20 years on this date.

- Kentfield: 103 degrees

The heat wave is expected to last for several days.
4th of July heatwave is ‘exceptionally dangerous situation,’ NWS warns
The NWS warned that much of the Bay Area will be in an “exceptionally dangerous situation.” Inland temperatures are expected to range from the upper 90s to near 110 degrees. Some will be in “major to extreme risk” of heat-related illnesses.
