APTOS, Calif. (KION-TV) — CHP Santa Cruz said it’s investigating a deadly crash on Freedom Boulevard east of McDonald Road Saturday morning. The agency said it happened at approximately 7:35 a.m. A 49-year old man was heading east at an undetermined speed on Freedom Blvd. in a red 2017 Honda CRV while a 23-year old man was driving westbound on the same road in a white 1966 Chrysler Newport. For reasons still under investigation, the CHP said the cars collided head-on.
