DUI suspect found with numerous crushed Bud Light cans

(KRON) – Several cans of Bud Light were found in the truck of a man arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the California Highway Patrol in Santa Cruz.

On Wednesday afternoon, CHP patrol officers said they witnessed a man driving a black pickup truck swerving and unable to stay in its lane. The driver was traveling northbound on Highway 1 near Mar Monte Avenue.

In a photo provided by CHP, the driver had multiple crushed cans of Bud Light in his vehicle.

CHP officers stopped the truck and said the driver displayed “clear signs of impairment.” According to CHP, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence, making it the fourth time in a decade that he received a DUI.
