Firefighters battle vegetation blaze in Alameda County

(KRON) — The Alameda County Fire Department said crews are on the scene of a vegetation fire that stretched 15 acres in Livermore Monday afternoon.

The blaze broke out on eastbound 580, just west of N Midway Road and W. Grant Line Road. Forward progress has stopped on the fire as of 3:03 p.m., confirmed ACFD.

There is no word yet on what caused the blaze.

People are being asked to avoid the area.
