San Jose structure fire displaces 6 people, 7 dogs

( KRON ) — Firefighters in San Jose responded to an involved structure fire Thursday morning east of the San Jose Mineta International Airport, according to officials.

The fire broke out at a building on the 100 block of E Gish Road at around 4:14 a.m., the San Jose Fire Department said. The building houses a business in the front and living units in the back.

Fire impacts eight businesses at San Jose strip mall Thursday

Six people and seven dogs were displaced in the fire, which was knocked down at 5:12 a.m., SJFD said. The Red Cross is assisting those residents.

No injuries were reported in the fire.
