San Jose Man Charged With Grand Theft Of Copper In Moraga

Martinez, California – The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office has charged a San Jose man with grand theft for stealing copper wiring from a Moraga hardware store. Mitchell Bedolla Garcia, 45, is facing a felony grand theft charge for stealing over $950 worth of copper wiring from Outdoor Supply Hardware. The copper theft occurred on September 3rd, 2024, on the 1500 block of Canyon Road. Garcia stole $1,295 worth of copper wiring by loading the wire rolls into an empty Shop-Vac box, sealing it with tape to make it look unopened, and paying approximately $110 for the price of the Shop-Vac before leaving the store.
