( KRON ) – A man attempted to dispose of a firearm without a serial number while evading police last week, the Pleasanton Police Department said on its social media.
Pleasanton police attempted to make contact with a man in a stolen vehicle. As officers approached the car, the man fled on foot. Police said the man dumped a gun as he was fleeing.

Officers learned that the suspect was a felon after detaining the suspect. The firearm was found to be a ghost gun that was loaded, according to police.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
