Los Altos police are seeking the public’s help in connection with an investigation into the assault of an elderly man earlier this week. Police say that on the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 16, officers responded to a report from the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office of a person who appeared to be unconscious lying near the railroad tracks in the area of Foothill Expressway and Highway 280.
