Tragedy struck in Pleasanton yesterday as a dog was found dead from heatstroke on an apartment balcony. According to the Pleasanton Police Department, the canine was exposed to harsh sun conditions at an apartment complex near Gibraltar Drive and Hacienda Drive. Despite quick response efforts, Animal Services Officers arrived too late to save the distressed dog. A concerned caller first reported the incident, later confirmed by authorities.
