Jewish, Muslim and Christian volunteers unite to help neighbors in need

Abrahamic Alliance International brings Jewish, Muslim and Christian volunteers together to help neighbors in need. The San Jose-based charitable organization “envisions a world where all Jews, Christians and Muslims co-exist peacefully, uniting to save lives and alleviate poverty together.” The organization has a number of activities scheduled for October. New volunteers are welcome.

On October 9, a blood drive will be held at Peninsula Bible Church in Cupertino. Volunteers can register online for one shift from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm and/or a second shift from 1:45 pm to 5:30 pm. The American Red Cross will train volunteers. Those wishing to donate blood can register online.

The church is located at 10601 North Blaney Avenue in Cupertino. The organization will hold another blood drive at the church on December 4. A blood drive will be held at Congregation Beth David on 19700 Prospect Road in Saratoga on February 5.

On October 27, the organization will repair bicycles for the homeless at Good Karma Bikes on 82 South Montgomery Street in San Jose. Volunteers who know how to fix a flat tire can register to work from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
