Sawed-off shotgun, ammo found in ‘suspicious vehicle’: SCCSO

(KRON) — The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office (SCCSO) announced an arrest following a shocking discovery in a “suspicious vehicle.”

SCCCO said the incident happened Monday afternoon when a deputy came across an unoccupied truck parked near Gilroy. Upon further inspection, the deputy said they located a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition inside the car.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that the male owner of the truck soon returned to the scene. After the deputy conducted a records check, it was found the truck’s owner was currently under a gun violence restraining order. The suspect’s identity was not disclosed by investigators.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said the man was arrested and faces several felonies.
