San Jose crew arrested for $200K paint theft from Home Depot and Lowes

SAN JOSE, California ( MyCaliforniaNews ) — A group of thieves from San Jose has been apprehended for allegedly stealing nearly $200,000 worth of paint, tape, and construction materials from The Home Depot and Lowe’s Home Improvement over recent months. The suspects reportedly took orders from buyers on platforms like Facebook Marketplace or OfferUp, stole the materials, and delivered them to job sites.The arrests were made by the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Retail Theft Task Force, and all three individuals are now facing organized retail theft charges, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. They have been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. “Retail theft won’t be brushed off — we’re cracking down to protect our community,” stated the Sheriff’s Office.
