SANTA CLARA, California ( MyCaliforniaNews.com ) — Six individuals were arrested and a cache of illegal firearms, drugs, and stolen property was seized following a series of operations by the Santa Clara Police Department. The arrests and seizures were the result of an investigation that began in the early morning hours of October 18, 2024, according to a press release from the department.At approximately 2:48 a.m., officers identified a vehicle at a Denny’s restaurant on El Camino Real linked to a felony case from a neighboring agency. A woman associated with the vehicle was found inside the restaurant and admitted to possessing the car keys. A records check revealed the vehicle’s owner had an outstanding warrant and was on probation. Methamphetamine was found on the suspect, and a stolen Glock 19 pistol was discovered in the restaurant’s bathroom trash can.The investigation led detectives to two residences connected to the suspect. On October 22, 2024, a search warrant was executed at a Santa Clara address, where a woman on Federal Probation for narcotics trafficking was found. A search uncovered a stolen Glock pistol, a black powder pistol, ammunition, methamphetamine, brass knuckles, and evidence of identity theft.Later that day, a search at a San Jose residence revealed unsecured firearms, including an AK-47, a short-barrel rifle, a shotgun, and a pistol, along with a large quantity of methamphetamine. One of the recovered firearms was linked to a homicide in another Bay Area city, highlighting the case’s significance.The Santa Clara Police Department emphasized the dedication and expertise of its officers in removing dangerous criminals and illegal weapons from the streets, ensuring community safety.
