( KRON ) – The Alameda Sheriff’s Office is asking for community assistance in a triple homicide cold case that occurred more than 30 years ago.
Oscar Villapondo, 20, David Villapondo, 19, and Richard Villapondo, 17, were killed by an “unknown assailant” around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27, 1992. According to the sheriff’s office, the three were in their apartment on the 21000 block of Oak Street in Hayward.
The sheriff’s office said several witnesses noticed a golden/yellow Chevy Nova parked in front of the victim’s apartment.

The driver was described as a white or Hispanic male around 16 to 18 years old. Witnesses said he was medium built and stood around 5 feet 3 inches tall.
The Alameda Sheriff’s Office said the driver was wearing a long Raiders-type hooded parka with a Raiders cap.
Deputies said witnesses saw the driver leaving the apartment with a gun in his hand and entered the Nova.
