6 arrests in San Jose retail theft blitz operation

(KRON) — The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said a recent blitz operation targeting suspected retail criminals netted six arrests and located a gun, fentanyl and various drug paraphernalia.

Sheriff’s deputies said its 13th blitz operation of 2024 caught thieves in the act in the Marshalls store location on North Capitol Avenue in San Jose.

Authorities confirmed in a social post that $3,000 in stolen goods was recovered, including purses, clothing, toys & beauty products. Merchandise from other separate thefts was also reclaimed.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said its Retail Theft Task Force will keep working to protect area businesses from organized retail crime.
