Fears over the San Andreas fault line were stoked on Monday night after a ‘very heavy’ earthquake rocked San Francisco.
The quake struck juts after 7:45 p.m. local time on Monday and was centered around the town of Dublin, according to the USGS. Many were rattled awake by the shockwaves as some reported screaming as the ground and buildings shook.
Some took to X to share their experience of the quake, with one user saying: “One resident and X user who felt the quake said: “Oh that was strong earthquake. Andreas is waking up!”
