A sport utility vehicle traveling on Marina Green Drive on Sunday drove over the seawall and onto the riprap, or loose stones, that separate the roadway from San Francisco Bay.
The San Francisco Fire Department responded to a call at 3:46 p.m. with units from the Marina station to 450 Marina Blvd. between Cervantes Boulevard and Casa Way. An amphibious rescue craft was also mobilized.
