Investigators broke up a suspected wine theft ring in Santa Clara County this week, arresting four people, including a man accused of attempting to resell more than 200 bottles of stolen wine and liquor out of the trunk of his car.
The wine bottles were recovered after police searched homes in San Jose and Morgan Hill as part of a monthslong investigation into a retail theft and fencing operation, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.
