( KRON ) — A man who was struck by a car while walking across a San Jose road in 2019 has succumbed to his injuries, police announced Wednesday. Authorities said the man was living in a long-term care facility following the collision.
Crash investigators said on the evening of Nov. 26, 2019, the man was walking eastbound across Monterey Road outside of a marked crosswalk. While he was in the roadway, a woman driving a 2009 black Toyota sedan struck him.

The man was rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries but was later stabilized, SJPD said. As a result of his injuries, he was placed into long-term care.
