DA Urges Governor to Reverse Early Parole Decision For Convicted Child Murderer 4.28.2025

County district attorney Dan Dow has sent a letter to governor Gavin Newsom, urging him to reverse the decision of the state’s parole board to release a convicted child murderer, Allie Hazel Brown.

Allie was formerly known as Herbert David Brown III, a Paso Robles man who was convicted in 2015 for the murder of their 22-month-old daughter, Lily.

The parole board granted brown an early release, announced by the district attorney’s office last week. The letter from the district attorney says that he believes Brown would still remain “a dangerous threat to public safety.”…
