(KRON) — An Alameda County jury convicted a felon of attempted murder Wednesday after he shot a 4-year-old boy in San Leandro, prosecutors said.
Adam Abraham Johnson, 34, fired a gun into a house on Feb. 24, 2024. Prosecutors said Johnson opened fire in an attempt to kill someone who he believed stole his car. Instead, Johnson nearly killed the young boy who was at home.
Leading up to the shooting, Johnson reported his car as stolen. He used a GPS tracking device to find it parked in a driveway outside a home on West Juana Street. Armed with a gun, Johnson decided to take the law into his own hands, District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson said…
