Los Angeles to be drenched as unusual spring storm brings more rain

An unusual spring storm in California saw The Golden State get off to a wet start this weekend as temperatures plummeted while showers soaked the region.

Unfortunately, the wet weather is set to persist as an “Omega Block” weather pattern continues to create unsettled conditions. “This pattern will bring periods of unsettled weather first to portions of the eastern and southern U.S., and eventually to the western U.S. heading into the weekend,” The National Weather Service had warned.

Sunday is likely to see more showers across the region but while the rain could scupper outdoor plans the wet weather is likely to provide some much-needed drought relief as dry season approaches. Those eager for more sun, however, won’t have to wait too long as the sunshine is set to return during the work week…
