California’s “Click It or Ticket” Traffic Safety Seatbelt Campaign Launches in May

As summer travel ramps up, the Fremont Police Department is urging visitors and residents alike to buckle up and ensure children are riding in the proper car seats, the agency announced.

From May 12 through June 1, officers will increase patrols as part of the national Click It or Ticket campaign, targeting drivers and passengers not wearing seat belts.

“Seat belts save lives,” said Fremont Police Lieutenant Ramin Mahboobi. “Everyone — front seat and back, child and adult — needs to remember to buckle up.”
