(KRON) — A man working at a San Jose high school had an “inappropriate” discussion with a student last year, leading to a comprehensive investigation and arrest, the San Jose Police Department announced Tuesday. Authorities said multiple other victims have come forward.
Jorge Palacios, 44, of Castroville, was arrested on April 28 after he self-surrendered at a police station. He faces charges related to annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18 years, according to SJPD.
The investigation into Palacios’ alleged crimes began on the night of Nov. 4, 2024, after officers responded to “a report of suspicious circumstances involving an inappropriate conversation between a student and a staff member at Mount Pleasant High School,” police said. According to authorities, Palacios was on leave from the school at 1750 South White Road at the time of the report.
