South Bay library introduces new immersive children’s play area

(KRON) –  The Gilroy Library is debuting a fun and immersive play space for children, according to the Santa Clara County Library District.

The interactive play space is called Earthen Excursion, which means a significant change in the Earth’s magnetic field.

The outside of the play space is covered in colorful art, including flowers, jewels, rats and more. There are also letters and words in both English and Spanish. The indoor play area has a slide.

The space was designed for children under the age of 10 to assist in their learning and development. According to the district, imaginative play helps children develop social and emotional skills and enhances cognitive abilities.
