SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — Residents on Saint Regis Street in San Jose woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of a car crashing in their houses.
Someone driving a black Lexus sedan slammed into two homes just after midnight Friday and caused “significant damage,” police said. The hit-and-run driver bolted out of the Lexus on foot and evaded arrest.
Resident Emily Parrot and her husband were sleeping in their upstairs bedroom when the car hit their house. “I heard a ‘clunk!’ I looked out the window, but I couldn’t see him,” Parrot told KRON4.
As of Friday afternoon, officers were still looking for the unidentified driver.
