To thank America’s servicemembers, California to offer free admission to 142 parks on Memorial Day

SACRAMENTO — In a statewide tribute to military service, California State Parks will offer free admission to 142 park units on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2025, for all veterans, active duty, and reserve military personnel, the parts authority stated.

Among the highlighted locations participating in the program are California Citrus State Historic Park in Riverside County, Clay Pit State Vehicular Recreation Area in Butte County, and Pismo State Beach in San Luis Obispo County — showcasing the geographic breadth of this initiative. Additional popular parks include Folsom Lake in the Sacramento area, Point Lobos near Carmel, Angel Island in the San Francisco Bay, and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in Southern California.
