(KRON) — Two men were arrested for allegedly stealing between $150,000 and $200,000 in merchandise during a burglary at the Medallion Rug Outlet on Convention Way in Redwood City on June 1.
At least three suspects were captured on security cameras during the burglary, the Redwood City Police Department said. On June 3, 40-year-old Faustino Dennis Ayala of Redwood City was arrested at a local homeless camp in connection to the case.

A large amount of the stolen property was recovered at [the time of Ayala’s arrest],” Redwood City PD said.
On June 4, 32-year-old Scott William Llewellyn, also of Redwood City, was arrested for the alleged burglary. Both suspects were booked into the San Mateo County jail for charges of commercial burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, theft and property loss of more than $65,000.
“While not every complex property crime investigation results in swift arrests and significant property recovery, this case highlights the value of thorough investigative work, inter-unit collaboration, and persistence,” Redwood City PD said. “… The recovery of a substantial amount of stolen property and the apprehension of two suspects reflects the dedication and effectiveness of the officers and detectives involved.”
