California measles cases surge, CDPH says

(FOX40.COM) — Measles cases in California continue to rise, with 17 reported cases this year, according to the California Department of Public Health.

As of Monday, the affected areas include:

  • Fresno
  • Long Beach
  • Los Angeles
  • Orange
  • Placer
  • Riverside
  • Sacramento​
  • San Mateo​
  • Santa Clara
  • Tuolumne ​
  • Yolo

California’s first cases of the year were confirmed in February with two. March saw the most cases so far, with six, and both April and May have two confirmed measles cases each. June has had four cases to date…
